Ophelia and Zachary became fast friends during their kindergarten year in Mrs. Gee's class at Le Conte Elementary School. After his passing, she made a "Friendship Box" for Zach and gave it to Jodie and me. Each time we'd have the pleasure to see Ophelia in the years following her friend's death, she greeted us with a warm smile and a hug. She would almost invariably say, "I still remember Zachary." We keep the Zachary and Ophelia Friendship Box in a special place in our home and will treasure it forever. Thank you for being a wonderful friend, Ophelia!
